OHWG Encampment Cancelled (10 May 2020)

From Maj Scott Glenn, CAP (Encampment Commander):
"I regret to inform you that I have decided to cancel the 2020 Ohio Wing Encampment due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  It is not possible to conform to the social distancing, medical considerations, and verify the availability of facilities that will be necessary to run the encampment.  Later dates are not possible due to the lack of necessary resources.

Please review the attached memorandums for additional information."

From Capt Nate Francis, CAP (Encampment Commandant):
"Although our encampment has been cancelled due to events out of our control, I wanted to thank each cadre member for their sacrifice and dedication to this activity. Your hard work and preparation will not go to waste as we are transitioning to plan for 2021.  The Encampment Command Team look forward to seeing you all in 2021!"

From C/Lt Col Jacob Tyler, CAP (Encampment Cadet Commander):
Thank you for all of your efforts for this year's encampment. I've never been prouder to work with any group of cadets before - this is a truly special group.

AS A REMINDER: while other Wings' encampments are cancelling and their leadership teams are finishing it there, we have the opportunity to make something positive and even great out of this experience:

E(vent) + R(esponse) = O(utcome)
We define our success by how we react to events such as this cancellation and the COVID-19 pandemic. You can stop now, or you can keep working.

Thanks again everyone for a fantastic year. Aim High!"
